Career and background
Originally from Leicester in the UK where he studied photography at degree level Paul Needham is a versatile photographer known for creating dynamic and emotionally engaging images.
The beginnings of his career date back to London at the end of the 1980s when he started out taking photographs of bands at concerts. Having broadened his scope considerably since then, Paul now has extensive experience of shooting a wide variety of subjects, making him equally at home in the studio creating portraits or product shots for commercial clients or out on location covering press and sporting events. Music still remains a passion and Paul continues to work with musicians and performers shooting both live concerts and promotional imagery whenever possible.

At various times Paul was the in-house photographer for the DeMontfort Hall, Sub 91 and The Musician in his home town of Leicester as well as The Borderline and Shepherds Bush Empire venues in London. He currently contributes images for Jazzclub Karlsruhe.
Pauls event and press images appear regularly in Wochenblatt (Bruchsal & Region), Wochenblatt Reporter and on ka-news.de and he is represented in the UK by the globally syndicated RMV agency. His images have been seen in the Guardian Online, Classic Rock Magazine, Country Music International and Country Music People.
His music photography been exhibited by International Media Academy (IDMA) in the UK and is on display at Alte Hackerei in Karlsruhe, he also has a selection of sports images on permanent display at Polizeisportverein Karlsruhe.
